Product Overview
The KYN28A-12 switchgear production line is a switchgear production line engineered for manufacturing armored withdrawable AC metal-enclosed switchgear (KYN28A-12, commonly known as the 10 kV withdrawable switchgear). It consists of a heavy-duty roller conveyor line, modular assembly stations, inspection stations and a control system, enabling continuous production covering enclosure final assembly, truck (draw-out unit) assembly, primary component installation, secondary wiring and factory acceptance testing. The entire line is custom-engineered to the customer’s enclosure types, capacity and workshop conditions, and can be arranged in straight or corner layouts as a switchgear assembly line.

Product Features
- Heavy-duty conveying: the switchgear assembly line is designed for single-enclosure loads of 700–800 kg; chain drive is used for heavy-duty applications, keeping enclosures moving smoothly between stations with heavy loads never carried by hand
- Modular stations: assembly stations are split by process and arranged independently, allowing stations to be added or removed as capacity changes and takt time to be adjusted to suit different workshop layouts
- Inspection embedded in the flow: mechanical characteristic tests, main circuit resistance measurement, power-frequency withstand voltage tests and five-prevention interlock verification are completed on the line, with inspection records traveling with each product for full traceability
- Truck assembly and alignment: dedicated truck assembly and transfer stations are configured for the middle-mounted truck structure, keeping truck-to-enclosure alignment accuracy under control
- Accumulation and takt balancing: optional accumulation rollers provide buffering between stations, automatically regulating supply between upstream and downstream stations to balance line takt

Applicable Product Range
The line accommodates KYN28A-12 and 12 kV withdrawable switchgear series of the same structure. One switchgear production line can cover:
- Rated parameters: rated voltage 3.6/7.2/12 kV; rated current 630–4000 A; rated short-circuit breaking current 16–50 kA
- Enclosure structure: two main parts — fixed enclosure and middle-mounted withdrawable truck; four compartments (busbar compartment, truck/breaker compartment, cable compartment, relay and instrument compartment)
- Truck types: circuit breaker truck, voltage transformer (PT) truck, isolating truck and metering truck; trucks of the same specification are interchangeable
- Protection and insulation: enclosure degree of protection IP4X; 1 min power-frequency withstand voltage 42 kV phase-to-earth (48 kV across the break); lightning impulse withstand voltage 75 kV phase-to-earth (85 kV across the break)
